The National Endowment for the Humanities awarded a Digital Humanities Start-Up Grant (HD-51022-10) to the Lab in support of its project, "New Digital Tools for Restoring Polychromy to 3D Digital Models of Sculpture."

A new article by Andrea Felice, “Fidelity and Technique of Plaster Casts,” has been posted on the Digital Sculpture Project website.


Dec. 16, 2009

The Chronicle of Higher Education posted an article, "Give a Humanist a Supercomputer...", covering a recent talk by Lab scholarly collaborator David Koller on using high-performance computing to process 3D scan data for digital models of sculpture and other cultural heritage objects. The talk was presented at the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI) Fall 2009 Membership Meeting. [Link to article].
